I was born on February 21, 1983, in Shreveport, Louisiana, and I’ve been creating art for as long as I can remember. By the time I was six, my parents realized I wasn’t just drawing like most kids — I was sketching with the detail and skill of an adult. That’s when my mom enrolled me in an adult art class, and at just eight years old, I was accepted by the teacher who saw something special in my pencil and graphite work. That class changed everything. I not only fell in love with sketching, but also discovered my passion for floral art.
Years later, I became the top-selling florist over a ten-year period at Michaels in Shreveport, where I also had the joy of teaching art to both kids and adults. When that opportunity came to an end, I took a leap and opened my own shop from home — a space where I could continue painting, drawing, and creating floral arrangements for customers across the Shreveport-Bossier area.
Today, I’m proud to call Bossier City home. I’m a wife, a mom, and an artist who loves teaching and sharing my passion for creativity at The Painted Edge and The Crowned Magnolia. Whether it's a canvas, a bouquet, or a student discovering their own love for art — this is where I come alive.
I’m thrilled to announce that this summer, I will have my very own Art Gallery Room inside The Painted Edge and The Crowned Magnolia!
While you’ll still find my art throughout the showroom and available for purchase, this dedicated gallery space will be just for you—a special place to view my artwork.
